THE WEEKEND

The highlight of the weekend was the opportunity to host a baby shower for my daughter.

These cupcakes were amazing. (no, I didn't make them myself!) Some were drizzled with a caramel and sea salt topping over the luscious cream cheese frosting, over german chocolate cake--my daughter's favorite--and they were DELICIOUS! Is your mouth watering yet? I have a few left, sitting on the kitchen counter. They're calling to me and I can't ignore them.
Someone help me!

  1. So cute! I love the napkin filled diaper treats. Those are amazing and simple (and hilarious). Yea for the new grandbaby coming. I bet your daughter can't wait. That is a miserable time at the end of the pregnancy (especially in the summer).

    1. She's really beginning to feel uncomfortable--and still working full time as well. Just the six hour drive to get here was hard for her, and the last time she was allowed to travel till baby arrives. Next time I see her will be when she's in the hospital, holding her new little bundle. It will be a joyous moment! Thanks for your comment, Charissa!

  2. Beautiful!! I love the cupcakes and I wouldn't have had any control around them, either (and definitely would help you out if I lived near you). And another grandson--how fun! I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of him.

    1. I can't wait to meet him! I'll definitely be posting pictures when he arrives.
And I wish you lived close too because I want to eat all of the cupcakes in one sitting! Not good! I need an intervention!
      Thanks for your comment, Melanie!

    1. Thank you so much, Christy! We live six hours away from each other, so spending time together is always a treat. I hate when she leaves, it's always so sad. But, we have so much to look forward to in Sept, when the baby is due!
