MONDAY MUSINGS

This week I received a review on Amazon for I Have People.

It said:

I am so glad I tried out this new author (new author to me). She built a believable storyline with a suspenseful plot. I liked the book so much that I had to go and get another of her books just to see if she could keep the magic going. I am a very satisfied customer.

Great review and it made me smile.

At the same time, it made me nervous.
So much pressure!

Can I keep the magic going?

I'm about to release my next book, I'm With You.
It's not necessarily a suspenseful book, although I did add a little suspense. After all, it's what readers expect from my books and I liked the slight mystery it added to the plot.
Some readers said they KNEW what was going to happen. Others said they were very worried it wasn't going to go the way they hoped. Others said they kept themselves from turning back to the prologue to check their facts.

Above all this book represents a forever reminder of my precious grandson, Jerad.
It was a book I felt a pressing need to write.
And now I feel as though my grandson will forever be remembered through the pages of this book.

That being said, I'm With You is, in the end, a romance novel. It just happens to include a Trisomy 18 story. It deals with baby loss grief, and this story-line propels the story forward.

So, can I keep the magic going?

I certainly hope so!

On another note, I've been super busy lately . . .

I'm With You is currently being formatted for ebook.
Lancaster House and The Middle Aisle are about to receive new covers. After each received a light edit, they have now been sent off to the ebook formatter as well.
Sierra just went through an intense edit and is now with my editor, just to be sure it is a grammatically clean read.
(The story hasn't changed at all.)

And suddenly I felt as though I didn't have anything to do. Everything was done and I'm now playing a waiting game.

And then . . . it came to me.

A new idea for my next book.

I can hardly wait to start writing it, as a matter of fact I'm about to burst if I don't get it on paper.

Maybe the magic isn't over yet.

Have a great Monday everyone!

    1. Every time I begin a new book, I say, "I'm not sure if I can do it again." My husband rolls his eyes at me. I'm gonna go for it again. And I hope the magic isn't over! Thanks for always stopping by my blog. Much appreciated!

    1. I would love for you to participate in the cover reveal, Melanie! Thanks!
I hope I can keep the magic going for years to come too. I keep thinking I'll run out of ideas, that the time will come when I can't think of one single thing to write. It hasn't happened yet. I suppose the day will come. But until then, I will keep on keepin' on!
      Thanks for your comment!

    1. I never know if the next story will work or not. But I go for it and give it a try anyway. So far, it always has. We'll see with this next one. But I've been working on it all day and I don't want to stop. I want to write it in one day! Of course, that won't happen! (It'll be months.) You're right, a story can't be forced. I think it will be obvious to the reader if it is. I will be sending you a paperback of I'm With You. Thank you, again, for letting me add your quote to the back cover. I look forward to sending it to you! Thanks for your support, Charissa!

  4. I can't wait to read "I'm With You". I already have my Kleenex's ready and as much as I truly loved the covers for the Lancaster series I can't wait to see what you have come up with. It will be great. I can't imagine anything needing fixed in "Sierra". That was my very favorite book of yours, so far. I have my sister buying your books now. She loved "I Have People" and is fixing to start "Sierra" tomorrow. Then she will read the "Lancaster series". I told her all about your books and she trusts my input enough to go and buy them. You know that I have loved all of you books and I know the new one you are working on will be great also. Taylor you have an awesome gift and you can and will do it and we will all LOVE it. I have no doubts at all. Now if only "I'm With You' was ready. Patience Linda Patience.. lol Love you dear friend and stop worrying. You will get it done and it will be another 5 star book. :)
