WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

Wordless Wednesday is actually filled with words--the words, thoughts, and feelings that pictures or images evoke within each of us without uttering a single word!

This image is entitled "Love or Money Capsule."

Let's mix it up a little and do something different than the usual Wordless Wednesday!

How about a story . . .

One evening we were playing the game, "Would you Rather . . ."
The following question was introduced:
Would you rather marry a starving artist for love, or the rich millionaire for convenience?
(That's not word for word, but you get the gist.)
Interestingly enough, all of the women in the room said, "the starving artist!"
The men all said the "the rich millionaire."

Go figure!

How about you?

Would you rather marry a starving artist for love, or the rich millionaire for convenience?

Would you take the LOVE capsule or the MONEY capsule?

As for me, I choose LOVE.
Every time.
No contest.

  1. The starving artist! I'd rather be happy in love than be with someone I didn't love and who didn't love me back. My husband and I definitely aren't rich, but we're happy with what we do have. :D

    1. Thanks for your comment, Jennifer. I couldn't agree more! Honestly, I think the guys in the room were messing with us girls!!

  2. The millionaire and the money capsule.

But, I am thinking it would be from this moment on, if my hubby were gone. I don't think it can get any better than I have it now and I don't have the forty five years it took me to find this one to wait for another.

I wouldn't change what I have now. This has been my dream. I love my life, but of course I could use some moolah.

I'm going to have to quit coming over here. You make me think and talk too much. lol

    1. Well, I love when you think and talk too much on my blog!! You make a good point, Sherry! Once you've had love and experienced that 'dream life,' it's pretty hard to match it! Interesting thoughts! Now you've made me think!

  3. Oh dear, I'm afraid this image has given me a melodramatic scene where a woman has a job offer that will take her away from her family for several months when they really need her, so she's deciding whether love comes first or opportunity. Which pill does she take?

Of course, I stared at the image first before reading your post ... so I'd choose love, after all what's money without love? It might as well be monopoly money. :)

    1. I agree because I'm a romantic at heart . . . guess that's why I write romance novels! LOVE the monopoly money comment--you made me laugh!
But, if the first scenario came about--she should take the love capsule! Of course, I've been a stay at home mom all my life and I can't imagine what it would have been like to leave my kids, so I'm the wrong person to ask!
      Thanks for your thoughts, Justin!

  4. The money capsule and the millionare.

I have been married twice and divorced twice. I don't plan on meeting someone and falling in love again.

So if I could have the money, I just might go for it. Who knows, maybe love would come later.

I've been a single parent and struggled with money issues for so long, it would be nice to not think about it anymore.

Now that I've said this, I'll probably fall in love and live broke happily ever after!

    1. You never know, Laura! Don't give up hope! I vote for the fall in love and live broke happily ever after scenario!
But . . . being rich and eventually falling in love has its merits too!!
      Love your comment, Laura!

  5. I love this, it almost makes it seem as if the idea of both money and love are just another addictive substance. Or could be taken the other way as if love and money can cure... Really makes ya think!

(btw I would have to say the millionaire for convenience... maybe I have a twisted mind, but if it didn't work out I would have half and could still look for love lol)

    1. What a concept! I didn't think of it that way! There is a way to get both . . . very clever! Just don't sign a pre-nup. Thanks for your 'twisted' thought, Jamie. (Just kidding, I love your comment!) Thanks for stopping by my blog!
