Hope your Thanksgiving was WONDERFUL!
We spent the holiday with my daughter and her family in Dallas. My son was also able to drive up from college and join us.
I even got to feed my grandson his first Thanksgiving roll!
Pictured below is the "after-Thanksgiving-my-stomach-hurts" crash landing . . .
(Even the dog was stuffed!)
We had a great time together!
Tell me about your Thanksgiving!
Sounds like you had a lot of fun. I had my married daughter and her cute husband visiting. That was fun and the weather wasn't freezing, which was even better. We smoked our first turkey, and it turned out amazing!
ReplyDeleteSounds wonderful, Charissa! We had 76 degree weather over the weekend and I loved it. The smoked turkey sounds delish. My daughter marinated the turkey overnight in a brine and it turned out very flavorful. I'm boring, I just roast the turkey in the oven! So fun to experience something different though! So glad you were able to have your married daughter home for Thanksgiving!
DeleteLooks like you had a great time. My trip to the in laws was too long. I think next year I will either take a cruise or lounge at home gorging on turkey and fixings with some football on the side. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are so funny, Sherry! But I'm with you a hundred percent. Even though I had a wonderful time, there is something comforting about being home for the holidays. I never go anywhere for Christmas because I love being HOME. (well, not to mention I'm terrified of driving in snow, but let's not go there.)
