MONDAY MUSINGS

I've spent the past week working on my next book,
STONE SILENCE.

I've finally found my groove for this book, and I'm anxious to get going on the next book in the series. (It will be a three part series. No cliff hangers, I promise!) The emotions of the first book carry over to the next book and I'm going to burst if I don't write it soon.

I heard this slightly controversial song, GIRL CRUSH, this week and I can't stop listening to it because it describes (in part) the emotions that begin the second book in the series. There's a few obvious things I don't like about the song, but there's a whole lot of things I LOVE about the song too.

Listen carefully. It's not what you think it's about at first. I think it's a very cleverly written song.

I've also been spending my time with my best little buddy, my grandson. I'm in love!! (Yes, he's a climber. He likes to sit on this ledge and watch me do the dishes. No worries, there's a nice soft chaise lounge on the other side.)

Hope your week was wonderful and that this week will be too!
Back to work for me!

  1. My week has been awful. Laryngitis and pink eye and my throat is killing me. I'm off of work til Wednesday. I hope I feel better by then! I can't wait for your new books.

    1. Oh Christy, I'm so sorry. I hope you will be well soon. Take it easy and relax, you deserve it! The most important thing right now is your health. Don't worry about anything else! Take care!

  2. I love your grandson's cubby place to watch you. Cute. I'm super excited for your next book. I love that it will be a series. Fun! I'll send you nice writerly thoughts to keep your momentum done...and hope some of your talent rubs off on me. You're awesome.

    1. Thanks! I need all the writerly thoughts I can get. I'm still in the "not sure of this book" stage. Hopefully it will go where I want it to go. I had a great idea for a book and I had to write it--but it's a short book. Then I wanted to give two more of the characters their own books--so I decided to make a series out of it. Hopefully it will pan out. My daughter thinks I'm a fast writer, but I think I am SLOW. I hope your talent rubs off on me!!!

  3. The little guy is just so adorable, Taylor. And I'm so excited about your new book. Loving that title. I wonder if Stone is a character's name? And a series too. Yeah!!!
Forgot to let you know I received Girl Of Mine. Featuring it in my Teaser Tuesday post tomorrow:)

    1. Aw, thanks, Laura. I think he's pretty adorable too.
And yes, the name "Stony" is a character's name--with a true story I stole from a friend concerning the name. They graciously allowed me to use their story.
So glad you received Girl of Mine! Enjoy! I'll stop by and check out the Tuesday post. Thanks so much!
