MONDAY MUSINGS--COVER REVEAL

Whew!

I made it through the holidays! It was wonderful and busy, but I have so many great memories to hold in my heart.

I had three of my four children home and one grandson:

We had a huge dinner on Christmas day:

Me and my children: (Except they are certainly not children anymore.)

What did you do over the holidays? Hope it was wonderful!

And now . . . even though it is very early, I'm going to reveal the cover of my newest book, STONE SILENCE.  I'm too excited to keep it a secret any longer!

The Sound of Silence Series will be a three book series. No cliff hangers, but each book will connect to the next.

The reason this cover is so special to me is because the girl on the cover is my niece!!! Isn't she gorgeous? My brother in law took the picture based on an inspiration picture I gave him and he captured the exact mood I wanted for the cover.

Tune in next week for the cover reveal of Book Two, which I am currently writing. I am going to release these books over a three month period, one a month, so readers won't have to wait long to read the next book in line. I hate waiting, so why would I make readers wait? Release date to be announced.

Have a wonderful Monday!

  1. Yes, a beautiful young woman.
Does she work as model, or was that just for the family?

    1. Thank you, Old Folkie! No, she's not a model, but I think she could be if she was so inclined. But, she was very willing to appear on one of my covers, for which I am extremely grateful. Thanks for stopping by!

    1. Happy New Year to you and yours, Rita! I think my niece is beautiful too, but what makes her even more amazing is that she's just as beautiful on the inside as well. All three of my new covers for this series feature family members. I wanted original images and I'm very happy with the result.
Glad you were able to have time with family for Christmas!

  3. She's beautiful as is the cover! I'm glad you had family with you for Christmas! I'm bummed that my kids both had to work today because this is the first Rose Parade we haven't watched together. They are growing up too fast! Happy New Year!

    1. Happy New Year to you too! It's so hard when our children grow up and have lives of their own--and yet I wouldn't have it any other way. But I'm sorry you didn't get to watch the parade together. Traditions are so wonderful.
And thanks! I'm glad you like my new cover!

  4. Ooo, I love that cover. Your niece is gorgeous. I love the idea of releasing them one a month. I will never do a series again until they are mostly all done, because readers aren't patient when it comes to finishing a story...and I was a slow writer. So you're smart to wait to have them all mostly done. Can't wait to read them.

    1. Yes, exactly! That's why I will have all three books done before I release anything! I probably shouldn't be doing the cover reveal yet, but I was excited about it. I didn't expect the reaction on Facebook! That'll teach me. I don't even have a release date yet because I'm not finished writing the series and I'm not sure how long it will take me. But then, building up hype is a good thing, right! And I plan on finishing these books very soon. I'm slow at writing too. I like to take my time and really polish my books. I think that's a good thing, so don't feel bad.

  5. Oh yay! The cover is wonderful and it is such a good idea to release one a month, I definently don't like waiting the typical year between books in a series- you forget so much that happens.

    1. I'm so glad you like the idea, Jana! I debated and debated about how to do it and releasing one a month over a three month period just seemed like the best idea. Of course, now I have to put out three books this year instead of one!! But that's okay, I'm really excited about this project.

    1. Thank you so much, Aimee! Yes, I plan to put out three books this year, so my task is before me. I'm determined to do it, but I don't have a release date as of yet. I don't want to promise one I can't keep. But, I'm super excited about this series and I'm really enjoying writing it. So glad you stopped by! Happy new year to you as well! Hope 2017 is an amazing year for you and yours.

  7. Such a lovely family, Taylor. And a stunning cover. I'm so excited. I was talking to Sherry, and we realized we only have one review left to write and no more books by you. And here comes a new one! Can't wait to get started on your series. Happy New year:)

    1. Awwww, thank you, Laura!
Clearly, I need to write faster! Seriously, the authors who put out several books a year are pretty amazing. I don't know how they do it.
Glad you like the new cover. It was really fun to use family members for the covers for this series. I can't wait to reveal the next two covers!
